Bookmaking with Ms. HiceIn October, artist Ms. Hice visited our classroom for a week. She taught the students how to make beautiful book covers using rice paste. Ms. Hice also led them through brainstorming and writing stories about what it would be like to live 100 years ago. What a wonderful experience!

Spirit Days and Oar RewardsOnce a month, PTA sponsors a Spirit Day. Hat Day, Backwards Day, and Dress Like a Book Character Day have been celebrated so far.
Our students also earn Viking Oars for safe, respectful, and responsible behavior as a class. When we have met our goal of 25 oars, we have special class rewards. |
Greensboro Field TripOn October 5, our class went to Greensboro. We visited the NC A & T University Farm and the Greensboro Historical Museum.

Pete the CatStudents have enjoyed reading Eric Litwin's Pete the Cat. The students created their own version of the story. Students learned to scan their artwork and record their audio. Check it out!
